Live installation of a giant poetry map for London Southbank Centre Festival of Neighbourhood and Jaybird Live Literature.
Members of the public were invited to leave their memories of London boroughs on Cabinet of Curiosity's illustrated cards for an installation that was assembled as part of a live event within the ballroom space at the Southbank Centre. The cards were mounted onto maps of each London borough to create a city of memories that grew over the duration of the weekend-long activity. London-based poets then drew upon these written recollections to compose original poems for each borough. The poems were performed live at the end of the event and incorporated into the final installation.
