Commission that set out to challenge perceptions & understanding of brass music, either through exploring its historical & contemporary social contexts or expanding the boundaries of the genre by creating new forms of music production.

Our installation in  was inspired by the band stands and brass band uniforms of the Victorian era. 24 paper  uniforms formed a sculptural construction celebrating the union of community through the brass band movement. The costumes were made from paper cloth  maps to symbolise the expansion in geographical travel that accompanied the brass band movement.
